For posterity: We had a 94% eclipse here, it was very underwhelming.

I’m in New England. Seeing a total solar eclipse has always been on my bucket list but couldn’t make it for reasons. (mostly my own mistake, I’m having so much regret right now.)

It did get super cold very quickly, like 10 degrees Fahreneit drop, it was short sleeve weather before and around maximal eclipse I did need my jacket. The sky dimmed to around the brightness right after sunset, but the color of the sky was a deep blue instead of orange. That was nice. But other than that nothing exciting that you could see without eclipse glasses.

This was my fourth partial eclipse for the record. Never seen a total eclipse, although the 2030 annular eclipse will be passing over my hometown, so who knows.
