Here is the telescope which I built on my own.

I had previously posted a picture of the Orion Nebula which I took from this telescope. This is a telescope which I built entirely on my own, including the mirror.

This has a 10in primary mirror which was a glass slab before I started working on it. I had to grind it to give it that spherical shape and then coated it with aluminium in a vacuum chamber. All of this was very calculated and required attention to detail. It couldn’t have been possible with the help of Mr. Ajay Talwar, a renowned astrophotographer my psyics teacher put me in touch with.

Fun fact – it took about 1 gram of aluminium to coat the entire mirror and the interiors of the vacuum chamber.
